Knowledge Management and Communications Director

The Knowledge Management and Communications Director will be the strategic driver of how the organization stores, curates,  shares, and disseminates knowledge products to amplify ZFF impact in public health. The director will lead the design and execution of integrated KM and communications strategies that ensure institutional learning, knowledge management,  research, insights, and transformation stories reach the right audiences—partners, policymakers, national government agencies, donors, and communities served.

The director will oversee the creation of compelling narratives, evidence-based content, and innovative knowledge-sharing platforms that strengthen ZFF credibility and influence in the public health sector, incorporating the role of Learning, Research, and Advocacy Communications. The director will manage a multidisciplinary team, foster a culture of learning, and ensure that ZFF internal knowledge systems empower staff to make data-driven decisions.

The director oversees daily operations across sub-units such as Learning & Development, Partnerships and Platforms, Quality Assurance, Knowledge Management, brand building, and related support functions. The role ensures alignment of Institute initiatives with organizational strategy, promotes learning-driven practice, strengthens partnerships, and institutionalizes evidence-based approaches to leadership and health systems transformation.

Qualifications

Education/ Training

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Research, Development Studies, Organizational Development, Health Policy, or related social sciences and management fields

Experience/ Technical Skills

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in executive support, administration, or management roles
  • Strategic and institutional management
  • Learning and leadership development (ADDIE, coaching, mentoring)
  • Health systems and governance knowledge
  • Partnership and stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge management and research dissemination
  • Project management (PDIME)
  • People management and performance management
  • Digital literacy and data analysis
  • Strong written, presentation, and influencing skills

Desired:

  • Experience leading academic or professional institutes
  • Exposure to certification or accreditation systems
  • Experience working with LGUs and national government agencies
  • Publication or research experience
