Provincial Associate Officer for Aklan, GRASP-UHC Project
The Project Associate will lead the implementation and overall management of the Gender-Responsive Systems Approach to Universal Health Care (GRASP-UHC) Project in Aklan. The role is responsible for coordinating with key stakeholders, including the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development-West Visayas, PhilHealth Regional Office, LGUs, and other partners to ensure effective project execution.
The Associate will oversee project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. This includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual accomplishment reports; supporting the development and review of annual work plans and budgets; and ensuring alignment with local health systems strengthening and UHC priorities. The role requires strong collaboration, strategic management, and project coordination skills to drive sustainable health systems improvements at the local level.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Science, Nursing, Community Development, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Management, Community Development, or a related discipline is an advantage
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in local health systems strengthening
- Experience supporting UHC, public health, or social development projects is an advantage
- Prior experience working with LGUs, DOH programs, NGOs, or donor-funded projects is preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of local health systems strengthening and Universal Health Care
- Excellent project management and strategic management skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with LGUs, health offices, and multi-sectoral project teams
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with DOH CHDs and provincial health offices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong partnership-building, networking, and collaboration skills
