ZFF on the Invisible Crisis: Very Early Adolescent Pregnancy

Every day, 31 girls under 16 give birth in the Philippines—that’s 11,479 pregnancies in 2023, each one a sign of deep vulnerability, not choice. At Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF), we believe Very Early Adolescent Pregnancy (VEAP) starts with conditions we can change. Services exist, but they are fragmented, and young mothers fall through the cracks. Teenage pregnancy is a symptom of abuse; it’s time to stop risk before it starts.
